Everything you need to know about getting here — and what to
expect when you arrive.

Our retreats take place at Beskidzka Apartments in Sucha Beskidzka, southern Poland, around 60 km from Kraków.

We're in a beautiful rural location, which is part of what makes it such a lovely place to step away from everyday life for a few days.

It also means it's worth knowing a few practical things before you travel.

Getting to Poland

Your travel to and from Poland is not included in the retreat price.

You are responsible for booking your own flights, trains or other international travel.

Before booking your journey, please check the arrival and departure information for your particular retreat so that your travel works with any included group transfers.

We strongly recommend not booking non-refundable travel until your retreat has been confirmed as going ahead.

Your group transfer

Where a group transfer is included, we'll arrange transport from the agreed meeting point in Kraków or at Kraków Airport to Beskidzka Apartments.

Your retreat information will give you the meeting place, date and time.

Where possible, we coordinate arrivals so that everyone can travel to the apartments together.

The return group transfer will work in the same way, with the departure time confirmed for your particular retreat.

What if my flight is delayed?

We know delays happen.

If you know you're going to be late, please contact us as soon as you reasonably can.

We'll help with information and practical options where possible, but the group transfer cannot necessarily wait for a significantly delayed or changed flight.

If you miss the agreed transfer because your flight, train or other travel arrangements are delayed, changed or missed, you will need to arrange and pay for alternative transport to Beskidzka Apartments.

This is one of the reasons we ask you to have appropriate personal travel insurance.

Arriving independently

If you're not using an included group transfer, we'll provide the information you need to reach us independently.

Sucha Beskidzka has rail connections, and the apartments are approximately 3 km from the station.

Please remember that the final part of the journey to the property is uphill.

Local taxi availability is very limited and there is no Uber-style service you should rely on, so please don't arrive at the station assuming you'll automatically be able to order a car.

If you need help planning your arrival, ask us before you travel and we'll tell you what options are available.

Welcome to Beskidzka Apartments

Depending on your particular retreat and group size, accommodation may be provided across our two apartments — Mokra and Sucha.

Some retreats will include a mixture of private and shared sleeping spaces.

Your retreat information will clearly explain the accommodation arrangements that apply before you book.

The apartments include kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and Wi-Fi, and Sucha also provides our main communal space for retreat sessions.

Your room and sleeping arrangements will be confirmed as part of the information for your particular retreat.

Food & drink

Food and drink are not included in the retreat price and are not supplied as part of your retreat.

Both apartments have fully equipped kitchens, so you're welcome to buy groceries and prepare your own meals during your stay.

Before and during your retreat, we can help with practical local information, including:

  • where to shop for groceries;

  • local restaurants and places to eat;

  • restaurant recommendations and reservations where required; and

  • helping you plan shopping or eating out around the retreat schedule.

Any groceries, meals, drinks, restaurant bills or other food and drink purchases are paid for directly by you.

Your individual retreat information may include plans for the group to visit particular restaurants or arrange shopping together, whatever you choose or purchase, the cost of food and drink remains your responsibility.

That way you have the flexibility to eat what you like, cook when it suits you or enjoy some of the local places during your stay.

During your stay

We'll provide the practical information you need before you arrive, including any retreat-specific check-in information, contact details and arrangements for your first day.

Beskidzka Apartments is in a rural residential setting, so we ask everyone to be considerate of the property, our neighbours and other retreat guests.

House rules apply throughout your stay, including our quiet-hours arrangements.

If something isn't right while you're here, please tell us.

We'd much rather have the opportunity to help with a problem during your stay than discover afterwards that there was something we could have sorted for you.

Getting around while you're here

Depending on your retreat programme, agreed local transport may be arranged for particular activities, restaurants or outings.

If it's included, it will be stated in your retreat information.

Transport or trips you decide to make independently will be at your own expense.

Because local taxis are limited, please speak to us before making plans that rely on finding transport at short notice.

Your departure

Your retreat information will confirm your final-day schedule and any included return transfer.

Standard check-out at Beskidzka Apartments is 11:00, although your retreat programme may finish earlier/later.

Please make sure your onward travel allows enough time for the agreed departure arrangements.

If you choose travel times that don't work with an included group transfer, any alternative transport arrangements and costs will be your responsibility.

Every retreat is a little different

This page gives you the general picture of travelling to and staying at Beskidzka Apartments.

Your particular retreat may have different meeting points, transfer times, room arrangements, meals, activities or other inclusions.

The information supplied for your individual retreat will always tell you exactly what applies to your booking.

And if you're ever unsure about something before you book your travel:

Ask us.

We'd much rather help you plan your journey properly than have you standing at a railway station in southern Poland wondering what to do next.
